Pavilion Studios Project
Our Project of converting the first floor of the Pavilion into
Art Studios is now under way and if all goes to plan  we
should complete the refurbishment by the end of August

On the Right is one of the changing rooms under refurbishment into a Artist Studio
The Sports changing facilities are being moved down to the ground floor
area and they are going to be refurbished by the CiP, hopefully for use
at the beginning of the season
Well after many months of planing and a good few hard weeks of work by volunteers and builders, we have finally opened  the "Pavilion Studios". The Artists have started to move into the studios and hopefully this will add to the community of diverse activities that's been created over the last two years, which are bringing the area back to life again.
The revenue created by the studios will be valuable funding  for the Friends of Dukes Meadows and will enable us to
carry on with with our plans for the upgrading of  the Dukes Meadows area.
The friends would like to thank all the volunteers who put so much hard work into this project which enabled us to
keep within our budget and finish on time, Thank You.
November 2002 Update
All of the spaces have now been let. Letting the workspace so quickly was due to the hard work of Elizabeth &
David at Diesel House to whom we are very grateful.
Our thanks also to Stanhope PLC who donated £5000 towards the cost of the building works, Hounslow Council
which provided a grant of £5000, Clifford Chance Solicitors who carried out the legal work for free and MFI who donated a lovely new kitchen.
With the £80,000 three year funding that we won from Brett Trust matched by £10,000 from Hounslow Council we
have been able to employ a full time Development Manager. The grant provided will also fund office costs, publicity
materials etc, and the office space will be located in the Pavilion.
